Hello! It's me again!
Ok, let's get this out of the way, shall we?

Ma and Pa - Thank you for giving me my life. Thank you for not disowning me everytime i flunked school and for the scandalous act way back highschool (you know what i mean). Thank you for buying me all those Balay-Balay toys when i was a kid'o, and thank you for giving me allowance though it wasnt all went to school projects. Thank you for everything. I love you.

My brothers - Thank you for being my silent pillars, and thank you for forgiving me for the times I'd take all the "ulam" and leave none for you. For June Joe who listened to all my dramas though i know he dont really care. Oh, Harry, btw, sorry for getting your things and returning it broken for all those years back. I love y'all.

Cellphones/MP4 - Thank you for keeping me sane and singing me songs at night. Sorry for dropping one of you in canal water. It won't happen again, I promise. Three years and still going strong! I'm proud of us! :D

Camera - Thank you for giving me hopes when things go wrong. I know your lonely right there. I'll promise to buy you in the right time baby, and i'll get you hook or by crook.

My bestfriends/kababata - Thank you for loving me no matter what. I know I can be incredibly difficult at times, but I've grown up a lot since we first met 16 years ago. here's to the next 100 years. I love you all.

My 'exes' - Thank you for not cursing me for breaking your hearts and giving me enough reasons NOT TO KILL YOU after breaking mine. and thank you for still keeping in touch and showing support. I've learned a lot, and I know I'll do it right with the next person I fall for. I love y'all.

My car - I have to deal up with this! I know , you're pretty damn high maintenance, but you're worth every cent i put into keeping you so p-p-p-presh and c-c-c-c-clean. I promise not to space out too much while driving you soon. I love you.

My friends - You're all daft, but they say birds of the same feather flock together. Thank you for some of the happiest moments of my life, and thank you for being there when i was at my worst. We may be more dysfunctional than any other, but I love ya'll the way you are.

The Greatest love of my life - It feels so great to finally be able to look at you and not die inside. Loving you has been crazy, but I can honestly say it was worth all the lessons learned. Thank you for showing me what it means to fight, and what it means to let go. I know you dont want me to say this but I love you... but things were different now.

My almost better-half - I've said everything I could say. Don't ever let that berluti break your heart again, ok? You are worth far more than that shoes ever made you feel haha. You deserve someone who'll show you exactly what it means to be loved. You've only just begun. I wish you well.

My Soulmate - Where the hell are you? Do i already know you, or have we yet to meet? When we both find out, let's talk about it over Starbucks (we already have one here in davao), yah? Your treat. :P

Myself - You didn't turn out so badly, kid. A few bumps and bruises, but overall, still in nice condition. It's gonna be a long road ahead, so make sure you pick out nice travelling shoes. I'm learning to love you. ;]

Mi COMDDAP Reflection

THE COMPUTER MANUFACTURERS,
DISTRIBUTORS AND DEALERS ASSOCIATION
OF THE PHLIPPINES (COMDDAP)
The vision of promoting and elevating the standards of Information technology (IT) in the
Philippines fueled a group of prominent computer companies to form the Computer
Distributors and Dealers Association of the Philippines or COMDDAP. Its initial member companies
represent the world’s leading makers and providers of computer products, solutions
and peripherals.
In 1997, the manufacturing sector – represented by industry leaders Hewlett Packard, Epson and
Compaq, among others – was integrated into the COMDDAP membership, making the
association a more diverse representation of the IT sector and thus the new name, COMPUTER
MANUFACTURERS, DISTRIBUTORS AND DEALERS ASSOCIATION OF THE PHILIPPINES.
Since then, COMDDAP has been maintained and financed by its members through dues, fees,
contributions or donations, and bannered by these specific objectives:
1. Promote the use of information technology and elevate its standards in the
Philippines;
2. Make computers affordable and available to the masses;
3. Provide and create opportunities for users to develop themselves to their fullest
potentials;
4. Supply the market with quality products at reasonable prices with good after-sales
support;
5. To work closely with the government, the private sector and international entities in
promoting the use of information technology;
6. Provide a forum of discussion on matters relating to the computer industry; and
7. Foster anf cultivate harmony, cordiality and camaraderie among the members so that
they can work together as one for the benefit of the industry.
Twenty (20) years hence, COMDDAP has grown not only in terms of membership, but also in the
activities it holds and organizations it chooses to collaborate with.
COMDDAP counts among its achievements the holding of the Annual COMDDAP exhibit, more
popularly known as the COMDDAP EXPO, which has become a consistent crowd drawer and
has in itself set new records in terms of the quality of exhibit area, exhibitors, visitors, and venues.
In fact, COMDDAP EXPO in 1999 marked the first exhibit to have adapted an upgraded booth
shell schemes.
The annual COMDDAP endeavor encourages its participants to launch their products and
services, as well as hold seminars with a variety of topics in the areas of technology, trends,
applications, and information management.
COMDDAP ‘s biggest leap was being able to cross boarders or go regional by bringing the
exposition down south in Cebu and Davao City, and to even greater heights in the cities of
Baguio and Naga, and most recently, in Iloilo City.

Apart from its exhibits, the organization holds COMDDAP Leaning Center Project and Training
the Trainors program. This is part of the civic and social responsibility programs that the
association has vowed to pursue. The project provides public high school students and public
school teachers the opportunity to learn basic computer theories, get hands-on experience, and
become familiar with computers.
COMDDAP is likewise involved with the Media-Citizen’s Quick Count (MCQC) operations in
response to the call of national interest. The bulk of equipment and technical support for this
endeavor were provided for by the member-companies.
COMDDAP has also pledged to protect its members in addressing the growing issue of software
piracy, a practice that has affected and stunted the growth of the local software industry, as well
as the country’s trade relations with other countries .In pushing this, COMDDAP has expressed
its full support in the local manufacturing of DOS at an affordable price and with after-sales
support, as well as launching a massive educational campaign.
Indeed, COMDDAP has gone a long way from a mere assemblage of premier IT companies and
enthusiasts. With the support and enthusiasm of its member-companies, COMDDAP expects and
looks forward to accomplishing more worthwhile projects in the future as COMDDAP is committed
to the stable growth of the Philippine computer industry.

Last July 2-4, 2009, THE COMPUTER MANUFACTURERS, DISTRIBUTORS AND DEALERS ASSOCIATION OF THE PHLIPPINES (COMDDAP) held a 3-days long exhibit at the Grand Ballroom, Apo View Hotel, Davao City. Luckily for me, for us, I was able to attend to a seminar held at the place. I attended last July 2, 2009 to be exact. I arrived at 1pm together with my classmates and friends. It started pretty late, that’s why the seminar started around 2:00pm. I attended two seminars. First is the ERIC DMS (Brilliant Dealer Management System) and the other is about THE HP and NEXUS. The HP and NEXUS tackled about this THIN CLIENT. According to

The term is also sometimes used in an even broader sense which includes diskless nodes.”
The seminar about thin clients caught my attention with its benefits to the environment especially nowadays we are facing the problem about global warming. It’s so nice to hear that people invent things just to protect the world, though we all know that technology is one of the factors of global warming. But still people do try to help our world in a simple way, such conducting a seminar which presenting new technologies that could somehow prevent the climate change.

Enumerating the USEp new enrollment system

Systems in information and computer science

In computer science and information science, system could also be a method or an algorithm. Again, an example will illustrate: There are systems of counting, as with Roman numerals, and various systems for filing papers, or catalogues, and various library systems, of which the Dewey Decimal System is an example. This still fits with the definition of components which are connected together (in this case in order to facilitate the flow of information).

System can also be used referring to a framework, be it software or hardware, designed to allow software programs to run.”

What is a system consisting of?

What are the terms and condition of making an Enrollment System?

“Terms and Conditions of Enrollment

The provider agrees to the following terms and conditions of the Early Steps Provider Enrollment

System:

1. An enrolled and approved provider in the Early Steps Provider Enrollment System is eligible to provide services in the Early Steps system through a provider agreement with a Local Early Steps.

2. A Local Early Steps is under no obligation to employ or contract with an approved provider based solely on the fact that the provider is enrolled and approved in the Early Steps Provider Enrollment System.

3. Providers are required to immediately notify the Early Steps Provider Enrollment Specialist of any changes in their enrollment record.

4. At time of enrollment, the provider shall submit (mail or fax) to the Early Steps Provider

Enrollment Specialist proof of the following, as required in Table 1.

*Professional Liability Insurance (must be maintained and updated annually)

* Relevant Diplomas (and Transcripts, as requested)

* Documentation of One Year Experience

* ITDS Certificate (for Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist Only)

* Fingerprint Card, as required

5. Providers in the Licensed Healing Arts Provider Class are required to update enrollment every two years beginning with the first date of licensure renewal once enrolled. (This may occur in less than two years for the first enrollment update to align enrollment updates with licensure renewal.)

6. All other providers are required to update enrollment every two years from their initial enrollment application date.

7. All providers are required to document 24 hours of professional development in the Early Intervention Professional Competency areas when updating their enrollment.

All approved providers, that are employed or contracted with a Local Early Steps, are required to:

1. Be knowledgeable of and abide by all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, and policies related to Early Steps including but not limited to IDEA, Part C, the Early Steps Program Plan and Operations Guide (PPOG), and the Early Steps Service Delivery Policy and Guidance document.

2. Maintain accurate clinical records for a period of at least five years from discharge from services, and to make available to Early Steps all records and information necessary to assure the appropriateness of payments and to assure the proper administration of Early Steps and to assure compliance with all applicable statutes and regulations.

3. Continually meet and maintain all applicable and necessary standards and regulations for licensing, credentialing, program licensure, and funding requirements for services provided.

4. Provide services to eligible children and their families as set forth in the IFSP.

5. Participation in IFSP face-to-face meetings and conference calls, and communication on a frequent basis with families and other team members.

6. Make records available, as requested, for local and state quality assurance activities.

7. Ensure services are family centered, inclusive, culturally competent, and that family members are an integral part of the service planning, implementation and on-going assessment.”

Reminders to All Students

1. DO NOT detach any part of the Registration Certificate;

2. PROCEED to the Cashier for payment. NO RECEIPTS are required to be filled up, the Registration Certificate will serve as an Official Receipt upon validation by the machine.

3. The payment of fees is the last step of the process. The Chief Accountant’s Copy and Registrar’s Copy of Form 21 will be collected by the Cashier-on-Duty. NO NEED to have the Registration Certificate (Student's Copy) validated by the Office of the University Registrar.


For Regular Students

1. Go to your College Enrollment Evaluator and present your class cards and Registration Certificate (from the previous semester). Upon evaluation, you will be given an Approval Form;

2. Go to the Computer Room assigned for your College and present your old Registration Certificate and Approval Form to the Enrollment Adviser. The Enrollment Adviser will process your enrollment and print your new Registration Certificate. Affix your signature on the new Registration Certificate and have it signed by the Enrollment Adviser; and

3. Pay the amount indicated in the assessed Registration Certificate to the Cashier.

Note: Pay directly to the Cashier. DO NOT entrust registration certificate and payment to anyone.


For Freshmen

1. Go to the College of your choice where you qualify (see College criteria) and present your PUPCET result and high school card for evaluation and interview, and get the approval of the Dean/Chairperson;

o If approved, proceed to Step 2;

o If disapproved, go to another College (second choice);

2. Secure a Medical Clearance from the University Medical Clinic upon presentation of Approval Form and chest X-ray result with film;

3. Proceed to Admissions and Registration Office (ARO) Center and present the follow documents:

o Approval Form from the College;

o Form 138 or high school card with high school general average of 82% or higher;

o PUPCET result (within the cut-off score);

o Certificate of good moral character from high school Principal/Guidance Counselor;

o Medical Clearance from the PUP Medical Clinic;

o Two (2) pieces latest picture size 2 inch. by 2 inch. (2"x2") with name pictured on it; and

o Certified true copy of birth certificate.

4. Present original Admission Certificate and photocopies of documents enumerated in Step 3 to the Enrollment Adviser in exchange of a Registration Certificate;

5. Enlist in the National Service Training Program (NSTP) of your choice (both male and female):

o Military Training Service (MTS/ROTC)

o Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS)

6. Affix your signature on the Registration Certificate and have it signed by the Enrollment Adviser; and

7. Pay the amount indicated in the assessed Registration Certificate to the Cashier.

Computerized enrollment system is now used by the universities, colleges and other establishments. Therefore, computerized enrollment system is very useful for both the firm and students because it rather give an effective and efficient approach for both the students and schools. Most enrollment systems are used to delegate out limited time slots or products. A well built one will allow for those time slots to be handed out in a quick fashion reducing the load on the People that normally have to-do all the work. It also gets the customers information into a nice nifty database for you to pull stats information and well as quick contact information from get into more advanced systems they include payment methods. On top of that with computerized enrollment systems you don't have to worry about not being able to read someone’s hand writing (I know mines hell) that alone mattering on the client base can be a blessing. And if you’re dealing with an older group of people systems can be built to quickly provide Large Text making it easier for them to read and fill out the enrollment forms... That’s always something good to brag about... That’s just the upper edge. But any enrollment systems need to be review to make sure it will be an advantage to the businesses needs and not hinder it.

For old student

The above steps are the procedure on enrolling an old student at the University of Southeastern Philippines. As I observed, the validation of the library id is not included in the procedure. I don’t know why it is so. The validation of the e-card takes place right after processing at the registrar. Since I’ve been in the university for quite a long time (almost 5 years to be exact) the new and old procedure of the enrollment for old system are the same (excluding the library part).

For new student

Year 2005, almost five years ago, if my memory serves me right Step 1 is not part of the enrollment procedure. I did not remember encoding of Student Information and Identification Number Assignment was included on it. The new procedure, however, is confusing. I have an older brother who is a first year college student in the university. Comparing the ways on my time and his time, there are lots of changes. And also the library registration is not included, again. I think validation and application of library id is part of the enrollment procedure.

For shiftee

I have really no idea on the procedure for the enrollment of a shiftee.

I will quote Ms. Kate Mariel Dizon’s post about the old procedure for both new & old student in the University of Southeastern Philippines, since she stated it clear and detailed;

“Based on experience, these are the steps for enrolment for new students:
1. Pay miscellaneous and other fees
2. Go to UGTO and fill up student records
3. (For scholars only) Apply for a scholarship at the Office Student Services
4. Enroll in ROTC or CWTS
5. Go to your college adviser, submit or present all necessary documents, and secure a Pre-Registration form
6. Fill up the PRF and have your adviser sign it
7. Submit the PRF to the encoder and secure Certificate of Registration
8. (For scholars) Verify student accounts at the bookkeeper. (For non-scholars) Pay tuition fee at the cashier
9. Submit all necessary documents/requirements and complete enrolment by getting stamped “Officially Enrolled” at the registrar
10. (Extra step) Apply for a library card

Based on experience, these are the steps for enrolment for old students:
1. Pay miscellaneous fees and other fees
2. (For scholars only) Validate scholarship at the Office of Student Services
3. Go to your college adviser, submit or present all necessary documents, and secure a Pre-Registration form
4. Fill up the PRF and have your adviser sign it
5. Submit the PRF to the encoder and secure Certificate of Registration
6. (For scholars) Verify student accounts at the bookkeeper. (For non-scholars) Pay tuition fee at the cashier
